VALLADOLID TRAVEL GUIDE
Best Restaurants in Valladolid Mexico
1. Yerbabuena del Sisal
Let’s start with a Valladolid restaurant that is probably one of the best places you can try out during your trip to this colorful Yucatan town if you are vegetarian.
Yerbabuena del Sisal is located opposite the ex-Convent of San Bernardino da Siena and is known for its charming vibe.
The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, and the food here is just amazing.
The menu includes lots of creative vegan vegetarian options, so you get a delightful experience here regardless of your preferences.
I also recommend the juices, particularly the Yerbabuena water, which is a specialty of the restaurant.
2. Casa Conato 1910

Casa Conato is a popular restaurant mainly for its historic building and a vintage ambiance, rather than the food which I would say is kind of mediocre.
The ambiance here is quite laid-back and classic, and sometimes on weekends, you can enjoy some live music.
3. La Ville Bistro
La Ville Bistro is one of the rare few restaurants in Valladolid that combine the flavors of Yucatan with a French vibe in a beautiful ancient building.
The atmosphere is quite likable, and the food is also great. Just keep in mind that the food here has a touch of French cuisine, so it’s not my first choice for vegan-friendly dishes.
Nevertheless, you will find a few vegetarian dishes to try out, and you can have them not add cream and cheese to them if you prefer completely vegan.
All in all, it’s a good place for breakfast lunch, or dinner in Valladolid.

4. Casa Italia
While we’re on the topic of European-themed restaurants in Valladolid, Casa Italia is a place to try out for some exceptional pizzas and other Italian dishes.
Sadly, I couldn’t visit it because I forgot about the place and remembered only the night I was leaving Valladolid, but its reputation is quite high so I am sure it won’t disappoint you.
5. La Palapita de Los Tamales
La Palapita de Los Tamales is this intimate place with gorgeously decorated spaces, a vibrant mix of lighting and nature, and a cozy atmosphere that you can hit for a great meal in Valladolid. It’s located inside a nice garden, so that’s a plus for the ambiance.
Again, not a lot of vegan options, but the Yucatan food served here is quite enjoyable. Definitely, a recommended place to eat.
6. La Selva
La Selva is another Valladolid restaurant that is very simple, not pretentious but very much loved by the locals. Therefore you are sure you will find the real authentic cuisine. Definitely to try.
7. Tresvanbien
Tresvanbien is a very cozy restaurant located on the Calzada de los Frailes. It has a gorgeous backyard garden with wooden seating, and the indoors are also quite charming.
You can go here for fresh drinks, pastries, and some very pleasant Argentinian empanadas.
There are also vegetarian options on the menu, but nothing in the way of completely vegan food.

8. Ix Cat Ik Mayan Cuisine
Ix Cat Ik is the restaurant that tops the list for a lot of Yucatan cuisine lovers. Here you can experience the ultimate Yucatan culinary experience.
The dishes are served in a beautiful presentation that mimics the original Mayan way. The menu includes vegetarian food as well, and the service is very personal.
9. Paparazzi Valladolid
Even though Valladolid is a great place to explore authentic Yucatan cuisine, it’s never a bad idea to know about some international variety of food for your trip. That’s why Paparazzi Valladolid is one more Italian restaurant that I’m adding to this list.
Paparazzi Valladolid is a renovated historical building located in the historical center of town at the beginning of the famous Calzada de los Frailes, so the Colonial surroundings of this restaurant blend well with its Italian theme.
During weekends they do live music and the place is packed so make sure you book in advance.
10. Le Kaat
Le Kaat is a relatively new vegan restaurant that is always busy, especially on the weekends. You will find an incredible variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes that are very creative and tasteful.
The ambiance is very laid back and relaxed they have inside and outdoor sitting.
Located in the Calzada de Los Frailes where you can take a lovely stroll to walk off the abundant food you had.
11. Elela Organic vegan Cafe

Elela is a new delicious cafe offering vegan delicacies that are absolutely incredible vegan copies of original dishes, including the famous tortilla española.
You can’t even tell it’s vegan. They also have amazing desserts including ice cream and chocolate truffles. Not to talk about the healthy and tasty drinks
Too bad the space is really limited and it gets full quickly.

14. Coqui Coqui tea room
Coqui Coqui is actually a luxury 1 bedroom hotel but it’s also an elegant shop with a tea room that offers coffee and tea and a selection of pastry.
It can be a little intimidating and there is very limited sitting but if it makes a nice treat if you want to take a break from your walking
15. Onza Rooftop Cafe
It’s a great place to be at sunset or early morning when the sun is not too strong.
Not an ideal place to work because of the heat and the light reflecting on the computer but definitely a place to try and see Valladolid from a different perspective.
